Huejly™ (...pronounced "hugely") is a design range inspired by elephants and influenced by graphic logos, comic books, cartoons, Indian artist Jamini Roy and traditional Indian art & design.
Huejly™ is the culmination of a lifetime seach for a visual language which represented my sense of identity - suffice to say, it's a deeply personal project, which I'm proud to share with you.
The motivation to develop and produce Huejly™ came about from a personal struggle. Since 2015, our family had been on a journey, which began when our daughter was first diagnosed with Leukaemia, a blood cancer. For all of us, this experience was deeply affecting and all encompasing. After two and a half years of treatment with chemotherapy, countless trips to hospital and the seemingly endless poking and proding, she came through the other side, with all the hope and promise that she will have a fulfilled and healthy life ahead.
This journey has changed us, to some extent we still live in it's shadow, it's aftermath, but we have come through it, and we couldn't have done so without the support of some wonderful organisations.
Huejly™ from it's inception was aimed at being able to show our gratitude for these New Zealand children's health charities to which we have a very personal connection. So, for this reason, although not officially aligned with these charities, funds from the sales of Huejly™ products will be pooled and shared amongst these 6 organisations:
Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand
Enjoy your Huejly™ designs, thank you for supporting us and these charities with your purchases.
Love,
Hitesh & Family.
